It is Chinese tradition to have a animal represent the new year (Year of ox), but it seems like Nigo took a page from this and made 2009 year of the Bape. In this week alone they made agreement with ZoZoTown to sell their stuff through them, gave word of a New Pirate store opening soon, sneak peak of their new collection; which includes collaborations with ghost buster and bearbrick.
