Over the years there has been a great obsession with Sponge Bob Squarepants in pop culture. Everyone from Marc Jacobs, Nigo and even Kaws have used the wonderful cartoon. Well now it's Karl Lagerfelds turn. He gave the Spongebob plush toy make over with a traditional Karl outfit, down to the glasses and fingerless gloves. It reminds me of the Stewie Make over i once did, except mine didn't go for €1,000. Hopefully in time my shits worth that much...

But the reason for the post is how crazy the people act upon hearing the rumor of the collaboration. But what is crazy is that I'm pretty sure there are many who went berserk when they heard of this or any of the collaborations with the many high-end fashion brands. At the end of the day it's only clothes and not that big of a deal.
