Take a look at Seth MacFarlane's show Larry & Steve, which was aired way before Family Guy hit the air. Seth defiantly has something with intelligent dogs, and dumb ass dog owners. There is even a brief appearance from the fighting Cock prior to his steroid injection!!!!
