Yes Recession Is Helping Me Expand The Closet
This is stolen from SlamXHype, basically Thom Browne and Rag and Bone are making new lower price line, but here is the whole article:
Both American designer Thom Browne and retail gurus Rag & Bone are gearing up to expand their customer bases by introducing new lower price pointed lines to their already existing collections. Becoming 30 to 40 percent cheaper than Thom Browne’s main line, the collection launching for spring 2010, will include classics such as gray suits, white cotton oxfords, navy coats with gold buttons, and khaki pants, while red/white/blue will include preppy outerwear, blazers, pants, cardigans, and polos. Designers Marcus Wainwright and David Neville of Rag & Bone have just opened their new, and biggest yet, store in Mercer Street, Soho, but they consider this new lower priced line to help expand their market even more so. It seems in this climate of today, we may see many other brands follow in these guys footsteps. Fashion needs to become more excessible for it to stay alive. It great to see these higher end brands making the effort, making brave descions to continue their company’s success.
