XXL Fucks Up Again

It's been a year since XXL Mag fucked up the first Rookie cover and didn't put Drake on the cover (First real blog post). Well the Rookie Cover is here again and yet again they left out some very promising Rookies. Well lets start with my favorite rookie, that being Vado, who has the aura of Juelz from early 2000's, but with harder punchlines and tad bit more wit. But the biggest mishap was not naming Jay Electronica on the list, who may have the most hype of any rookie with his song Exhibit C. It's also good to note that all the buzz is do to his lyrical content, gaining recognition from Mos Def and Just Blaze. But hey you can't get em all right, and I don't think Drake did too bad after missing the cover....-_-

Aubrey Drake Graham/Drake/Drizzy/Jimmy/Kid in Wheel from Degrassi

Drake is best known for his role as Jimmy on Degrassi (sorry didn't see it), but he has gone from the T.V. screen to ripping the mic. Although he has proven his skills on the mixtapes scene with Room For Improvement and Comeback Season and even held his own on tracks with self proclaimed best rapper alive, Lil' Wayne, he was not dubbed one of the top 10 rookies M.C. by XXL Mag. Defiantly a mistake on their part, but it happens. The rookie M.C. is packed with punchlines and metaphors for days, but strays away from gun talk, violence, and women exploitation. A refreshing breath air this day and age as Hip-Hop follows same platform of Money, Cars, and Hoes. Let's not get it misconstrued, he still boast about his swag and lavish life, but it's just not the same old chain hanging, making it rain attics. Drake revamps the image of Canada, proving the American stereotypes wrong, everything from Canada DOESN'T SUCK ....JUST GO AND DOWNLOAD HIS STUFF YOU'll SEE "Last place Drizzy is the nigga in the lead NOW!!!"
